II. Storage Requirements
1. Hazardous chemical warehouses should adopt methods such as isolated storage, segregated storage, and separate storage for the storage of hazardous chemicals.
2. Storage facilities that meet the characteristics of hazardous chemicals, fire prevention requirements, and storage requirements specified in the chemical safety technical manual should be selected for storage.
3. Strict control should be exercised over the types and quantities of hazardous chemicals stored, in accordance with the design and operating license requirements of hazardous chemical warehouses.
4. The storage of hazardous chemicals should meet the requirements for classification, packaging, storage methods, and fire protection of hazardous chemicals.
5. The storage and distribution of hazardous chemicals should comply with the requirements of Appendix A and the chemical safety technical specifications.
6. The external safety protection distance and the storage of explosives in the warehouse shall meet the requirements of GB 18265.
7. For warehouses storing toxic or flammable gases that constitute major hazard sources of dangerous chemicals, the external safety protection distance should meet the requirements of GB 18265.
8. For warehouses storing hazardous chemicals with fire hazards, the fire resistance rating, number of floors, area, and fire separation distance shall comply with the requirements of GB 50016.
9. Highly toxic chemicals, flammable gases, oxidizing gases, acute toxic gases, substances and mixtures that release flammable gases when in contact with water, chlorates, permanganates, nitrites, sodium peroxide, hydrogen peroxide, and bromine should be stored separately.
10. For highly toxic chemicals, controlled chemicals, precursor chemicals, and hazardous chemicals prone to explosion, the storage location, quantity, flow direction, and management personnel should be reported to relevant departments for filing in accordance with regulations. Highly toxic chemicals and hazardous chemicals constituting major hazard sources should be stored separately in dedicated warehouses, and a system of dual receiving and dispatching, as well as dual custody, should be implemented.
